Rigorous evaluation by panel of health and safety experts at OSH India sees G7c come out on top
Blackline Safety is honoured to receive the Innovation in Safety Technology Award for G7c at this year’s OSH India Expo for our G7c personal monitoring device.
G7c is Blackline Safety’s wearable lone worker and gas detection monitor that streams real-time situational data to the cloud, keeping workers connected and protected. With a range of features from emergency SOS latch to no-motion, fall, and multi-gas detection, incidents can be identified and responded to quickly by remote monitoring teams—either internally or via Blackline Safety’s 24/7 live monitoring service.
Selecting the winner
Out of 30 submissions for the Innovative Product of the Year award, six were shortlisted by a panel of HSE and industry experts. The shortlisted products were displayed in the conference’s ‘Innovation Zone’ pavilion showcasing the most innovative safety and health products and services. Visitors to the Innovation Zone selected the winners through online and onsite voting.
On 23 November, Shreesh Nadgouda, Blackline’s Regional Sales Manager for India and SE Asia, proudly accepted the award in front of an audience of approximately 300 people.
“It was a proud moment to collect the award on behalf of the Blackline team, recognizing our commitment and focus on innovation,” said Nadgouda. “I was delighted to represent Blackline at OSH India, a global health and safety event, and demonstrate our full suite of connected safety solutions, including the G7c,” Nadgouda added.
OSH India is South Asia’s largest occupational safety & health event, bringing together internationally renowned exhibitors, consultants, business experts and key government officials on an industry platform. Held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai on 23-25 November 2023, the show welcomed 100 international speakers and over 6,000 visitors.
Multi-award winning product
G7c has previously won a number of awards, including two gold awards in 2022 from Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), in the IoT connected devices and gas and vapor monitoring categories. It picked up another two ‘New Product of the Year’ awards in 2020, again from Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), for its Industrial Contact Tracing solutions and G7 cloud-connected gas monitor with the NevadaNano MPSTM Flammable Gas Sensor. The product was also awarded the Prix de l’innovation twice in 2019 for DATI/Geolocation at both Préventica Paris and Préventica Marseille, recognising G7c for its complete data science, gas detection and push-to-talk offering.
